This is the woman who stepped forward to the NY Times with her story and evidence against Graham Platner. While not surprising, it’s still terrible. Too many “journalists” are willing to destroy countless lives in order to protect their partisan credentials.
Shame on @nytimes.
I bucked all advice from my friends (and resisted my conservative bias) and decided to fully trust the Times journalists.
As they left my home they asked that I not talk to any other outlets and I insisted then and repeatedly over the following weeks that I would keep my word and only share this story with them.
But then the weeks dragged on. They kept coming back to us saying the editors needed more. I needed to go on the record (okay). We need more screenshots (okay). I met every bench mark they set, eager to provide more sources or evidence as needed.
After the story went up I began to ask them … wait, where are the stories from the other women? Where are their accusations of sexual assault? Why am I the focus? Why are there 11 paragraphs dedicated to detailing my work history (more than has been published about Graham’s by far)?
Why does it say “nobody could corroborate” when I offered them sources that COULD corroborate?
Why did they include an out of context quote from a friend joking “do not call Graham” after I called off my wedding? (Because she knew I would never).
Where were the screenshots they’d said they would use? Or the mention that I’d supported local democrats and that most of my family (and husband) are liberal?
The editors said it was too much, they explained.
The Times also failed to include any mention that I DID confide in multiple friends through the years that Graham had been abusive — long before he was running for office. Those friends confirm they told the Times so.
It dawned on me that this really was a set up all along. The journalists I trusted who convinced me to share a story I never wanted to tell methodically delayed and twisted this into a gift to the Platner campaign. Violating the trust of his victims. Shattering the trust I placed in them with the most vulnerable story of my life.
And at the end of my call with them I reluctantly accepted their insistence that this was still a powerful story and that I had done a brave thing. And I thanked them for all the hard work they had put into it.
Still fawning after all these years.
@PhilAHoard BREAKING NEWS: California has completed the counting of ballots and can now announce that Ronald Reagan has won as governor of California
#BabylonBeeejokes@TheBabylonBee
😂
This is a dangerous and disgusting decision.
So the freedom to “peacefully protest”overrides both private property laws and the freedom to worship freely?
This could easily become a trend.
The city of Saint Paul has officially determined the January 18 invasion of our church and the desecration of our worship to be a “peaceful protest.”
Here’s my question for Mayor Her:
This post didn’t age well. We promised the people of Iran that soon they would be able to take back their country. It seems this is a repeated issue with our foreign policy over many years… Our promises mean nothing.
Praying that Trump makes wise decisions in this “peace deal.”
How quickly we forget the cardinal rule… You can’t negotiate with terrorists.
I fear Trump has given way to the anti-intervention wing… J. D. Vance… and has given Iran some incredible gifts: Leverage (Closing the strait) and the gift of time. (To rebuild)
🚨 BREAKING: President Trump CONFIRMS a peace deal between the US and Iran has been “largely negotiated,” and could be finalized imminently
An announcement could be coming VERY soon.
Keep pushing for peace, 47 🇺🇸
“I am in the Oval Office at the White House where we just had a very good call with President Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, of The United Arab Emirates, Emir Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, and Minister Ali al-Thawadi, of Qatar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah, of Pakistan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, of Türkiye, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, of Egypt, King Abdullah II, of Jordan, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, of Bahrain, concerning the Islamic Republic of Iran, and all things related to a Memorandum of Understanding pertaining to PEACE.
An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed. Separately, I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel, which, likewise, went very well.
Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly.
In addition to many other elements of the Agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened.
Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
You’re not going to like it, but here’s the harsh truth: Trump would rather use taxpayer money to relitigate the 2020 election and January 6th through an “anti-weaponization” fund than focus on winning the midterms.
Thomas Massie immediately turning his primary defeat into an anti-Israel quip explains perfectly why he needed to lose. Sad!
Massie said: “I would’ve come out sooner, but I had to call my opponent and concede, and it took a while to find Ed Gallrein in Tel Aviv." #KY04
The reason Trump just endorsed Paxton is because agreeing with Trump over 99% of the time is not sufficient in today’s GOP.
Ethics and electability also don’t matter.
We’ve seen this play out so many times—and it always seems to backfire.
I have worked closely with President Trump through both of his Presidential terms and voted with him more than 99% of the time. He has consistently called me a friend in this race. It is now time for Texas Republican voters to decide if they want a strong nominee to help our GOP candidates down ballot and defeat Talarico in November, or a weak nominee who jeopardizes everything we care about. I trust the Republican voters of Texas.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court has tragically and wrongly granted the abortion pill makers’ emergency appeal, allowing the mail order abortion pill regime to continue nationwide.
Justices Thomas and Alito dissented.
This decision keeps deadly abortion drugs available by mail and telehealth, where preborn children are killed at home and women can be abandoned, coerced, and left to suffer alone.
The FDA must act now.
Ban the abortion pill.
So a Congresswoman gave a bogus story and two news networks immediately covered it as a fact. This is yet another reason why news opinion shows have no business masquerading as news.
@NewsNation… This goes against everything you stand for.
🚨 BREAKING UPDATE: Despite claims made by Anna Paulina Luna, DNI Gabbard’s office was NOT raided by CIA (or anyone else), WH and DNI officials confirm to me
Luna has since side-stepped her claims as well.
This age of US Reps. saying ANYTHING just for some TV time needs to END.
The reason this was particularly troubling is because millions of Americans were given the impression the CIA was actively staging a COUP and taking illegal, unilateral actions mere HOURS after the President left the country.
Even FOX NEWS was duped into believe Luna’s story, and presented it as “BREAKING NEWS”
Same with NewsNation.
Members of Congress need to go back to REPRESENTING THEIR CONSTITUENTS rather than desperately trying to become social media influencers.
It will take mental and spiritual fortitude to oppose this growing trend. The first step is removing politics from the equation. Antisemitism and racism has no place in American culture. It doesn’t matter who it is and what party they affiliate with. No moral relativity on this.
BREAKING: Acting FDA Commissioner Kyle Diamantas previously was listed in court records as counsel for Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando.
He is temporarily filling the vacant position after Marty Makary’s resignation.
We cannot allow someone who represented Planned Parenthood to oversee rules surrounding the deadly abortion pill mifepristone that has killed MILLIONS of babies.
@realDonaldTrump, we need a strong pro-life nominee to replace him IMMEDIATELY.
This is the point I’ve been trying to make for years, but not as succinctly.
Yes, this was the Biden administrations doing, but Trump/Vance both support abortion by mail. This evil practice rendered the Dodd decision practically meaningless.
Pro-life state laws don't matter as long as abortion drugs can be ordered through the mail.
"That's the whole purpose of what the Biden administration did..." @RepHarshbarger
Im scratching my head on this one. I’ve never seen any controversy on the ballroom, but this definitely isn’t a good look after repeatedly promising no tax payer money would go towards this.
PRICE TAG FLIP: Trump's ballroom was touted as 'completely privately funded' — now Republicans are slipping $1 billion in taxpayer money into an ICE funding bill to pay for it https://t.co/kxC4vHZHSS
@DomingoOrtiz95@mike_frags Dobbs did virtually nothing since republicans stayed silent on abortion pills. Abortion numbers are now skyrocketing and that means way more than any political issue.
The pro-life crowd won a political battle and probably lost the war. This is tragic for those who value life!
@PhilAHoard Messaging concerns: When we say that all the objectives are met, when they are still murdering innocent civilians and attacking boats in the strait. Previously saying the strait was open when it was closed.
We definitely didn’t seem prepared for them to close down the strait.
Moral of the story… War is hard and true victory/change is never certain. Praying for our leaders is integral.
This effort will likely be judged poorly overall because people will remember the $4.50+ gas, loss of lives, and question what was really accomplished.
I approved this operation, but have not been pleased with how this has played out.
* Controlling the strait had to be a major objective and it is still closed.
* Their evil regime is still murdering innocent civilians.
* Iran has called Trumps bluff a few times now.
@PhilAHoard I agree that expectations were too high. The problem in this case, is that things will appear to some as worse, with the strait now being closed.
A bigger problem has been messaging. (IMO) Iran keeps violating every redline/ignoring Trumps threats.
