When the preacher says “If you prayed that prayer, God saved you” 🤦‍♂️

I’m like, wait a minute. How does he (the preacher) know if the sinner, exercised any faith when they prayed?

I got news for him, they can pray that sinners prayer, 1000x times but No Faith = No Salvation

Doing some in-depth study this morning for future preaching and stopped to be thankful for what I learned @CBBCKing . They taught me how to study the Bible diligently! They instilled the responsibility to "rightly divide" the scriptures. Those 4 yrs changed my ministry & I am 🙌🏻

1 of the greatest mistakes I made early in the preaching aspect of ministry was that I didn’t do preliminary study before a message/series. By preliminary, I mean studying ahead, researching, saturating myself with the material. It robbed me & the congregation. Now I know better!

As the apostle Paul penned scripture, someone started forging his name & sending letters to churches. To authenticate his work, he started ending his letters with some form of the phase “Grace be with you all”

Guess how Hebrews ends 😮

If you move on from toxic people or a toxic environment, you should naturally get better. Christlikeness should gush from your life like a (John 4) well. But know this, if the years go by and you stay the same or get worse, it wasn’t the environment or the people, it was YOU!

Can someone help me with something? I hear the conversation about the negative effect having a cell phone has on students in school & employees in the workplace.

My question is “why” are either allowed to have cell phones in those spaces?
