A Humble Prayer Request from the Mission Field

Dear beloved brethren in Christ,

If you are reading this message today, I ask you with all my heart to pause for just a moment and whisper a prayer for me, my team, and every missionary and evangelist who is tirelessly proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, especially here in Northern Nigeria.

Every day we walk into villages where fear has become a way of life. We have comforted widows whose husbands were murdered for their faith, prayed with children who have become orphans overnight, and stood beside believers who have lost everything except their hope in Christ. Many times we travel knowing that we may not return home. Yet we continue, because the love of Christ compels us.

There are nights when the sound of gunfire echoes through our communities, and there are days when the burden feels almost too heavy to carry. But in those moments, we remember the words of our Lord:

> "I will never leave you nor forsake you." — Hebrews 13:5

That promise gives us the strength to keep going.

Please pray that the Lord will surround us with His divine protection, fill us with unwavering courage, and grant us His grace and mercy as we continue to preach His Gospel. Pray that every missionary on the frontlines will remain faithful, joyful, and steadfast, no matter the cost.

The enemies of the Gospel may try to silence us through persecution, violence, and intimidation, but they cannot stop the work of God.

As the Apostle Paul declared:

> "The word of God is not bound." — 2 Timothy 2:9

By His grace, we will continue to carry the Good News to the ends of the earth until every heart has the opportunity to hear the saving name of Jesus Christ.

Please do not forget us in your prayers. Your prayers strengthen weary hands, encourage discouraged hearts, and remind us that we are not standing alone.

May the Lord bless you abundantly for remembering those who serve on the mission field.

The Federal Government's decision to budget over ₦8 billion for the construction and renovation of churches and mosques across the country is, in my view, utterly wrong and unacceptable. Regarding the church in particular, I believe it is yet another attempt to drag the church into unnecessary political controversy.

I speak as a Christian: the church does not need to be included in the federal budget to renovate, build, or support itself. Considering the country's current economic situation, with public debt rising to unprecedented levels, such spending should not be a priority.

Moreover, the method of allocating these so-called "budget" funds to churches and mosques is questionable. I personally believe it could be a means of diverting public funds through seemingly legitimate budgetary provisions, with the renovation of churches and mosques serving as a cover.

Of the more than ₦8 billion reportedly budgeted, approximately ₦1.91 billion is allocated to projects related to 7 churches, while about ₦6.14 billion is allocated to projects related to 52 mosques. These funds are reportedly routed through Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) that have no direct responsibility for religious affairs.

These include the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, the Federal Ministry of Works, the Federal Ministry of Science, Innovation and Technology, the Federal Ministry of Environment, the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, and other federal agencies that ordinarily have no religious mandate.

Using the name of the church to siphon public funds, if that is indeed what is happening, is utterly wrong. Even if the allocations are genuinely intended for church projects, the motive appears to be political, and I believe such allocations should be rejected.

The church does not need government budgetary allocations to carry out its mission or execute its projects.

It doesn't justify calling Peter Obi names and raining insults on him. Obviously, Obi might not even know about his arrest.

The fight for a new Nigeria is not about any man, it is about the country and its future. We are not doing Obi any favour, we are securing the future of our nation.

They are people who have suffered worse and we don't even know their names, they still continued, not because they were appreciated by Peter Obi, but because they know exactly what they are struggling for.
