No new fighter jets through FCAS – Germany and France have buried their joint effort to develop Europe's next generation fighter aircraft. So, what now? Germany's defense minister said several possible alternatives are on the table, including a German initiative involving Airbus.
@Peter63712585@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 Ah yes, tanks, APC, and IFV are what's winning the Ukraine war.
Sure. 😂
France was the first to deploy to defend the European eastern flank in 2022.
Where was/is the German army?
@Peter63712585@Powerfuldoggo@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 You are very lucky that France has a very Europeist president who won't support his own country but always find a way to kiss some foreign asses.
That is why.
If nationalists were in power in France just like in Germany none of that BS would have happened.
@Peter63712585@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 India lost one Rafale, Pakistan lost the war. Thanks to the Rafale.
EAU pulled nothing, you're dreaming.
Oh France lacks "any form of army"?
Okay. 😂
How old are you really? 🤣
@Peter63712585@Powerfuldoggo@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 Mk0 is GaAs. Mk1 is supposed to be GaN but already 5 years late. Soon to be 6.
Germany switched mk1 for mk0 for half of the Qadriga tranche 4. We'll see if the rest get the mk1.
The Rafale has had an operational AESA since 2010.
@Peter63712585@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 Yawn.
36 billion more for defense just days ago.
14 more discussed recently.
The Rafale sells.
The Eurofighter doesn't.
Also Dassault has something Airbus doesn't: competence. And it's not for sale.

"The original version of this story stated that the German Tranche 4 jets were receiving the ECRS Mk 1 radar. The initial deliveries, at least, are being provided with the previous Mk 0 standard of radar."
Mk0 = fixed GaAs AESA.
16 years after the Rafale.
@Peter63712585@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 Also, Germany now treats Spain very badly, calling them "minor partner". So let me guess, when it was Airbus + Airbus versus Dassault, it was "democratic" and "everyone was equal", but now, Spain is small and insignifiant? 😂🤣
Hypocrisy at its finest.
Have fun failing upwards.
@Peter63712585@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 Trappier said it was legitimate from Airbus to want to learn. However Airbus also denied Dassault's lead on the NGF despite contracts stipulating Dassault was leader.
Regarding workshare the "Dassault wants 80%!" lie was used to demonize Trappier. He never said that.
@Peter63712585@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 Then why ask for "sharing" from Dassault? When Trappier said repeatedly he was ok to share the foreground, but not the background, which was unacceptable in the eyes of Airbus?
Your claims make no sense.
@Peter63712585@Starkiller_29@MichaelaWiegel@KeraneMass972 Airbus asked Dassault to give them their IP while denying Dassault their agreed upon lead on the FCAS.
"European" politicians claimed Dassault selling Rafale was "bad for Europe".
The Snecma/Safran M88 has 21 modules versus 15 on the EJ200 and will have more thrust with the TREX.
