#Menstrual Hygiene Day
As an MLA, I was proud to introduce legislation ensuring that every girl and woman could access period products free of charge if they needed them. It was a simple vital step toward tackling period poverty and supporting health and wellbeing
29th June 2003 some night in the Kitchen Bar, Victoria Square.
Warm evening the place bunged, the craic 90. Judith Chalmers was in with her crew filming.
I gave her a chorus of Danny Boy and got a big hug for it. A lovely wee moment I’ll never forget.
Rest easy, Judith.
Set out at 6am this morning with my brother Laurence from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and crossed the Pyrenees to Roncesvalles Spain in heavy snow. Tough going at times, but well worth it. Feels like the hardest part of the Camino is now behind me. Onward.
@SetantaD I’m serious about constitutional change, but we’re not firing out rushed border poll dates or pretending slogans alone will persuade people.
Our approach is planning, preparation and persuasion. Make Northern Ireland work better now and bring people with us.
Great day at the Balmoral Show fantastic atmosphere and well worth a visit. Brilliant to see people coming from all over. A perfect mix of livestock, food, crafts machinery, all with a strong sense of tradition
Mental health week. It’s okay to not be okay sometimes. Mental health isn’t a weakness it’s part of being human. Check in on your people, and on yourself too. 💛
Aghagallon Cemetery Sunday. Great to meet up with my colleague and friend Dolores Kelly. Remembering our dead brings together faith, memory, and community. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.
Heading out to Aghagallon today for Cemetery Sunday. My wife’s sister, father, grandparents are all buried there, so it means a lot to our family.
Ag cuimhneamh ar mhairbh ár gclainne go léir. Go ndéana Dia trócaire orthu, agus go raibh siad ina luí go suaimhneach sa reilig.
Up Down. We know it won’t be easy, going to school in St Paul’s Lurgan I learnt from an early age the rivalry between Down and Armagh, have a great day everyone in Clones and get back home safe.
Planning matters. Today I’m attending two site visits one in Dundonald and another here in Lisburn before a busy council meeting tonight. Every application deserves fair scrutiny, with all voices heard. Let’s keep our planning process honest, balanced, and equal for everyone.
What a fantastic evening at Fort hill Integrated Primary & College in Lisburn.
A brilliant multicultural celebration—great company, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere.
Well done to everyone involved 👏
@DavidJBurns10 Absolutely brilliant, and yes, girls can do everything and anything they want, no barriers anymore. And that's great to see, David, so proud of that girl. Well done, Carly.👏👏👏
@TVCritic_@Translink_NI It needs all the overgrown vegetation removed and where the gate lodge into Glenmore house used to be also tied up. It’s a beautiful bridge and needs to be preserved and seen. A stitch in time etc.
Good engagement with Chris Conway & @Translink_NI.

Great to see Lambeg Golf Course open this morning after all the rain. Credit to the greenkeepers and staff for the hard work. A real local gem. Unfortunately no buggies 🤞next Saturday for those who need them.
Tonight feels like one for the fire and staying indoors, but many will still be out working including our blue light services. Please take care if you’re travelling, and stay safe everyone.
Storm Dave is expected tonight, as predicted looks like we’re in for a rough one. Batten down and bring in anything that could blow about. Hopefully everyone stays safe and there’s no damage. Take care folks.
