@henrywinter@Bigalanh5 We know what it was like b4, fa cup games and championship games now with no VAR are a joy to watch. Journalists saying "its here to stay" are the problem. Its a spectator sport. If spectators dont want it , it should go in bin. A small well supported campaign would see it off
@TouchlineX Surely this just creates the same problem but a metre further forwarded. Does left ankle overlap with other players knee?
Get rid of VAR, if you have to keep VAR, clear and obvious for offside too.
If you need to draw lines and take longer than 20 secs, its not clear mistake
@shaung79@SheldonMiller Before VAR it would have been offside.
The other guy behind VVD is clearly offside. Flag goes up, everyone agrees hes interfering with play and we move on. We are now creating rules to accomodate VAR , and linesman are leaving decisions to VAR. Absolutely killing the game
@henrywinter Beaurocrats ruining football
Until VAR is removed from the game it will get worse. More rule changes to make VAR work will continue to distance PL football from all other levels. VAR has proven decisions are subjective and onfield refs decisions are excusable. VAR does not work.
@StreetwiseStu79 Unfortunatley when the club talk about "fan enagagement" they are probably not talking about the 70k at OT or the 3K at wolves away. They are possibly talking about the "600 million".
599,970,000 of whom couldnt give a flying fuck that Luke Littler got a ticket and they didnt.
@StreetwiseStu79 I get the point, but i think you might be missing mine.
I am guessing, but his remit could literally be to get likes and "engagements", therefore he could be given tickets to get "influencers" in the ground . Therefore the assertion he has done something sackable may be wrong.
@StreetwiseStu79 Head of fan engagement! Sure this will be part of his remit. If he can get 3,000 influencers with 1,000s of followers in an away end instead of 3,000 season ticket holders, then he would probably get a huge bonus. I think people are missing what poeples true objectives are at OT
Our Under-17s have won the 2025 Geneva Cup, successfully defending our 2024 title!
A 3-0 win over RC Deportivo La Coruña in the semi-finals led to a final against SL Benfica, where Ray Robert and Harry Brookes scored in a 2-1 victory!
Congratulations to our youngsters! 🏆
The FA cup final should go back to being the final game of the domestic season. And it should kick off at 3.00pm. And the semi-finals should not be played at Wembley. Make the event the glittering showpiece it once was.
I will die on these hills.
Just one Stockport boy, and 10,000 fans behind him at the new @EvertonStadium! What an achievement Seve, we are all incredibly proud! 🔵⚪️ #WeAreStockport
