Every initial statement is simply a piece of evidence (neutral) which is eithe corroborated or unsubstantiated by other evidence.

@fishsports Exactly- every allegation is should be taken seriously & professionally investigated. A statement claiming crime is committed is the starting point. It is a piece of evidence that is either substantiated or not by other evidence. No claim should automatically deemed credible.

@sterling_penny @fishsports No. You take the dmstatement and investigate. The evidence elicited on the investigation lends the statement credibility or disproves it (a case of insurance fraud in your example). MeToo demands that the initial statement in a rape case is given a presumption of truth.

I don't make it out for too many sunsets in #Pittsburgh, but tonight I swung downtown for just a few minutes and I'm glad I did. Soft pink tones in the clouds, a blue sky, the incline, and some gorgeous light all made for a perfect scene.
