AP Research students discovered how important explict detail is in their research paper today by following their own directions to bake brownies. They had to replicate the recipe with precision and wound up doing a great job!
Happy Hallowmas! The library had so much fun today hosting this event with Ms. Carota's Theater class. We were able to collect some non-perishable items for the High School's food drive. Thank you to Ms. Davidson and Ms. McKeough for having your classes participate. 🎃
The library was full of clue hunters today as 9th graders worked on Mrs. Davidson's and Ms. Charvat's breakout about "The Telltale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe.
Another fun breakout experience! This time Ms. Gagliardi's and Ms. Augi's 10th grade English classes were here working on puzzles related to the short story "The Monkey's Paw" by W.W. Jacobs.
The library has been hosting Ms. Crecca and Mr. Varley's Criminal Justice classes as they research mobsters. We're all learning about some notorious criminals.
Ms. Charvat's 9th grade English classes came into the library today to play a breakout for the short story they just finished, "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell.
Need a public library card? Let us know! The public library just dropped 2 cards off yesterday for students here at the High School. Let us help you get FREE access to so many things at the @pmlib.
We had a great after school program with our friends from the Teen Center at @pmlib. Students stayed after to try different types of cereal and crown one the best. Cinnamon Toast Crunch was our winner! The Teen Center will be visiting us once a month.
We're ready for Homecoming! Students worked in the library to explore the history of the Patchogue-Medford School District. Then they used our makerstations to create pennants and pompoms. Let's Go Raiders!
90s day in the library today for Homecoming Week! Thanks to Ms. Franzese for making the library staff shirts to wear that represented our favorite 90s shows!
It's Homecoming Week! Today was Twin Day! We were excited to host Mr. Petker's Psychology class today. They researched twins that had been separated at birth and reunited later in life. Fascinating stories!
Our 3D printers have been a big point of interest for the PMHS students. Stop by the 2nd floor and see them in action. And talk to Mrs. Sclafani if you want to print something.
