@goldengoff16 Stanford Golf Course. It should never change as students play 18 holes for $30 & play with members. The land, CA oaks, views, weather & money nearby, if limited to 200 members & less than 10K rounds per year, the course would be top 50. The course will be 100 years old in 2030.
@CycloneLarry69 I wish we all could just be fans today. The beauty of sports in the past is regardless of profession a ticket gave you the same seat. It was just a question of how close to the field you were. It built community & not walls between fans, wealthier fans & ultra wealthy ‘fans’
@OleTimeHardball That stats and eye test alone say he’s a bonafide HoF, but he’s among a long list of a dozen players who have not been inducted. Does the HoF need a special section for the players of those nearly 2 decades when everyone turned a blind eye to PEDs?
@stanfordNYC I don’t like the prospect of a senior on fixed income ‘forced’ out of their home due to increasing property taxes. But in CA prop 13 starts after any purchase at any age. We were lucky to buy at age 30 but so long as we own our home we’ll slowly become the problem with funding
@KNBR@JohnSheaHey@sfstandard This is what will hopefully make him a great manager. Tony takes a negative view from Joe and turns it back to him. When there’s a respected doubter don’t avoid them, bring it right to them. So Joe, if you were in my position, what would you do?
@BBGreatMoments Always a huge Eddie fan, but sadly for him, I was happy when my hometown Braves pitching staff carved up the Indians in the 1995 World Series
@gregolsen88 The legendary Stanford coach Wally Goodwin…RIP…offered @NotahBegay3 a golf scholarship to Stanford after watching him play basketball. So the story is told!!!
@stanfordNYC And we are fortunate to own a home for more than a decade and benefit from prop 13…thus we support the local education foundation to help the school district
@stanfordNYC In CA prop 13 is wild. Property taxes of less than $3K per year for a home worth $3M. As soon as it’s sold the property taxes increase to $30K plus. People who own their homes love it, but IMHO it’s a bad policy since property taxes are so crucial to funding public education.
