Win or lose. I love this team so much. The kids love being at basketball everyday. I wish we could play forever. Again, win or lose. That is what makes David Prouty such a special place.

Earlier this morning, Prouty Senior Owen Granger was recognized at the Red Auerbach Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association Senior Awards Breakfast as a 2026 Senior All-Academic Team recipient. Congratulations again Owen on this outstanding achievement!
Fix for a broken MA HS football playoff system? @AlexAgrellaRB did an excellent job reporting from the meeting. Hopefully, CMass and WMass school admins are paying attention and advocating. Not at all acceptable to have an “it’s just high school sports” attitude.
Tom Gibbons, who won 350 games in his 26 seasons coaching the Wachusett Regional boys' basketball team, has stepped down from his position. Gibbons will still be in the gym(s) this winter watching his daughters, Mary, Sophie and Lucy, play.@WachusettAD@tgsports
Here is everything Dawn Staley had to say today about Geno Auriemma, his statement, and her perspective:
"No distractions at this time... I grew up in the projects of North Philly. 215, 267 area code. Nothing can derail us, or me, from staying with the task at hand."
A little personal news…
After a lot of thought, I’ve made the tough decision to step away as coach of the Norwood girls team. It’s been the honor of a lifetime to coach these incredible young women and to do it alongside a coaching staff that I absolutely adore. Steve, Joey, Liz, & Jim - thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
Basketball has been one of my true loves in life, but I’m excited to give my other “loves” some extra time & attention - my amazing wife, my family (which includes two basketball-loving nieces), and my tribe of friends.
Being called “Coach” has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. To my players - past & present - thank you for letting me be a part of your lives, and for being a huge part of mine. I love you all to my core. Thank you for raising the collective bar and for not settling for anything less. In a world full of “average”, you became great. We talked a lot about life lessons, but #1 will always be to enjoy the ride. I know I certainly have. 💙💛
Wise words from Joe Mazzulla about how winning isn’t everything:
“At the end of the day, if you have a bunch of wins, but you don't have the relationship with the guys, it's pretty empty.”
“You're in it to go after stuff, together with people, and to be a part of someone else's story and someone to be a part of yours.”
