🚨 THINK BEFORE YOU MARCH!
Does Ngizwe Mchunu know that a huge portion of Johannesburg's economy depends on investors, traders and business owners from countries such as China, Ethiopia, India, Somalia, Egypt, Bangladesh, Nigeria and many other African nations?
If you chase them all away, what happens to Johannesburg's economy?
Johannesburg is South Africa's economic engine. It supplies goods to businesses and consumers across all nine provinces. Thousands of South Africans work in supply chains, transport, warehousing, retail, security, logistics and many other industries linked to these businesses.
Even the City of Johannesburg Municipality depends on rates, taxes, permits, licences and other revenue generated through economic activity.
The real question is not whether illegal immigration should be addressed—it should be, through the law. The question is: how do you enforce immigration laws without crippling the economy that feeds millions of South Africans?
South Africa needs law enforcement, not economic self-destruction. Think beyond today's march and ask: what does Johannesburg, South Africa look like tomorrow?
It takes seconds to research , the men convicted of killing Lucky Dube were South African citizens, not foreigners. The three convicted were:
Sifiso Mhlanga
Mbuti Mabe
Julius Gxowa
They cheered when he said “I won’t apologize”.
Today they cry when the court says “You’re in contempt”.
we love fire on social media. We clap for the man who says “no retreat, no surrender”.
We call him brave. We call him “real”. We share the clip 1000 times.
But clout doesn’t appear in court.
Likes don’t pay legal fees.
“Amakwerekwere” tweets don’t argue for you before the judge.
Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence.
The Constitution protects your voice. The law also protects another man’s name.
Ngizwe stood alone in that dock. The crowd that shouted “Don’t apologize!” was not standing next to him.
To the crowd: Don’t cheer a man into prison.
To Ngizwe: May this be a painful lesson, not a life sentence. A man falls, but a man also learns.@Mzanziawake
Good morning @MbhazimawaGaza please note that Ngizwe can still provide the court with proof and evidence that R60 million was donated to Julius. If his comrades like yourself have such proof and evidence, go to the police. Ngizwe is going to prison for LESHANO!!
