The end of another era. The 25-26 school year comes to a close and I close the door on 10 YEARS of teaching! Hard to believe.
The #Patawans had another great year of incredible growth and good times. More adventures to come in August, have a great summer! #6thGradeScience
As we end the school year, I wanted to share the growth charts we made in class this year. Each star represents a student who grew on MAP or showed growth/excellence on CIA's. Its safe to day our classes had some amazing success this year! Great job #Patawans, proud of yall!
What a great send off for our principal @sburtrisd We are going to miss her at FMMS. Truly an amazing principal who has encouraged and supported me and so many others as teachers. Thank you so much Dr. Burt for everything you've done for us.
One final clap out for @sburtrisd
Thank you for your leadership, your heart for students, and the legacy you leave behind at The Meadow. Once a Charger, always a Charger. ⚡️

We are proud to celebrate the 189 teachers who are receiving the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designation! The total amount awarded to this group is $2,297,000 🎉
TIA rewards highly effective teachers who have earned this distinction through teacher performance metrics, student growth, professional development, and campus culture with monetary stipends.
RISD is proud to celebrate:
🌟 47 Recognized Teachers
🌟 105 Exemplary Teachers
🌟 38 Master Teachers
98 teachers in this group were new or received the distinction previously and moved up to a higher level of recognition this year and received big checks!
This is the largest cohort to receive this honor since the program was fully implemented in RISD in the 2020-2021 school year.

The first ever GT @ForestMeadowMS Invasive Food Truck Festival was a success! 🌮 🍕🍟
Students brought literary elements to life by designing food trucks inspired by themes, symbolism, and conflict. We also made our own food samples and dishes to taste. 😋
Science and RLA GT students at @ForestMeadowMS join forces for the Invasive Food Truck Festival! Scientists had to research an invasive species and create a dessert or drink based on it, then connect it to an RLA food truck.
Thanks @FMMSMrGaray and #Garayzies with the #Patawans
I'm sad to be losing @sburtrisd as a principal, as she is definitely the best I've worked for. However, I can't think of a better person for this role! Congratulations Dr. Burt!

I have gotten to know myself as an individual and a teacher better the more I learn about GT education. I firmly believe in the power of gifted education. My #whyGT is helping gifted students to realize their full potential and just how incredible their abilities are.
Richardson ISD is home to approximately 5,200 #giftedandtalented students. What a privilege to be part of their story!

Every so often you get that reminder that you are doing okay as a teacher. And this was mine today. An incredibly kind student gave me this picture he drew and it was truly a joy to receive it. I am blessed to work with these incredible #Patawans Thank you!
Thank you so much to everyone at @ForestMeadowMS who organized this celebration. Our family is so blessed by everyone who contributed gifts, diapers, and helped bring food/decor to this. It was truly an amazing time. We can't wait to meet our baby girl in a few weeks.
From presentations to planting. The #Patawans at @ForestMeadowMS are building their own terrariums and tracking the growth of plants they placed today. We are using this to demonstrate responsibile use if soil and water resources. I can't wait to see how these turn out! #science
The #Patawans tried something new today. Our GT science students came to the library to present their projects convincing people to buy land on Mars. The projects were so great and it went amazing. Thanks @RISDCCR for coming to see us @ForestMeadowMS#6thGradeScience
