Dan Houser hasn't watched the 27-minute GTA 6 look, and won't.

The Rockstar co-founder told Variety's Strictly Business podcast he avoids anything that could "distract or disrupt" him creatively. He skipped Westerns while making Red Dead and held off on The Sopranos until he left Rockstar.

He's now building two open-world games at Absurd Ventures.

GTA 6 fast travel is an Uber app, and you can chat with strangers on the ride.

Rockstar confirmed fast travel "options", including RydeMe, an Uber-style app (per Vandal). Chat with other passengers or doomscroll. The map is 2x the size of GTA 5's.

Walmart is reportedly dropping Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 stock in some regions.

A frozen zombie in Minecraft's new Ice Caves throws ice balls right at you.

Mojang unveiled the biome at Minecraft LIVE for the 2026 Holiday Drop: glowing ice crystals, icicles, and a rare underground cold zone. Ice balls work as weapons or potion ingredients.

Steam Deck LCD owners say SD card performance quietly tanked around April-May 2026, after a SteamOS update that supposedly optimized SD cards for third party handhelds.

Per a Reddit report, cards that hit 200 MBps before now choke on GTA 5, RDR2 and Cyberpunk, with assets failing to load and streaming breaking mid-game. Valve hasn't commented. (rumor/unconfirmed, r/SteamDeck)

GTA 6's leaked Cyberleek map may not be the final one.

Rockstar's $400 Collector's Box includes a stylised map of Leonida, and it shows a small island at the top that's missing from Cyberleek's leak. Rockstar also scrubbed labels from the promo image before release.

Rumor/debate: GTAForums points out the leaked map's height data still matches Cyberleek's, so some fans aren't buying it. Grain of salt until Rockstar shows the full thing.

GTA 6 on Switch 2? A former Rockstar dev just poured cold water on it.

Jérémy Hartvick says native ports "probably deliver a subpar experience" given the hardware, and doubts Switch owners are even the target demo. His one opening: cloud streaming isn't "ludicrous."

Bethesda president Jill Braff to Obsidian staff: this is "primarily a change in reporting structure," not a takeover.

Her memo: Feargus Urquhart's team keeps leading Obsidian, reporting to her instead of Xbox. Bethesda Game Studios keeps running Fallout. Comes after Obsidian cut 52+ jobs in July.

Halo isn't just switching owners, it might be starting over.

Leaker TechnicalHalo claims Activision's Halo is a full reboot: new chapter, old lore dropped. Unclear if that's the whole franchise or just ex-Halo Studios games. Unconfirmed, rumor only.

Obsidian is back on Fallout.

Bethesda has folded the studio in to lead development of the next mainline Fallout game. No title, no platforms, no release window yet, just the studio confirmed.

Obsidian made New Vegas in 2010, still the fan favorite in the series.

GTA 6 strip clubs get a tech upgrade: Rockstar can now retarget animations on the fly, so NPCs with different heights and body shapes stop sharing the same stock movements.

Studio co-lead Rob Nelson to IGN: "We could never have had this variety before."

Rocket League is moving to Unreal Engine 6 in 2027. Psyonix confirmed it on the final day of RLCS 2026, with pros JSTN and GARRETTG already testing the rebuild.

The game shipped in 2015 on Unreal Engine 3, skipping UE4 entirely. Now it's set to be one of the first big titles running on Epic's next-gen engine.

Rockstar just published its official modding rules for GTA 6, and they're brutal: no monetization, no IP reuse, nothing that touches unreleased content.

That wipes out the exact kind of projects that kept GTA 5 alive for over a decade, including the mods that spawned NoPixel's roleplay scene.
