@SparkysTech A very convenient strawman. The difference is that you own your car and you can even burn it down if you want as it's fully yours. You are not a 100% owner of the model thought, you are buying a VTS model files. You are not entitled to own everything related to model by default.

@d3pending @evastrlux Most of the artists won't give you any .psd files and they forbidden to edit their work in any way. You only get a right to use a final result, not a right to edit or full ownership. Riggers are selling VTS models and that's exactly for clients get.

@Comrade_Del What's the discussion even about? You are paying for a VTS model and you get it. If you want to buy a right to edit or resell (Live2D files) files they you could always pay pay and additional fee if rigger agrees. Expecting a right to edit/resell by default is weird.

@WynterpuppyVT "Protecting Vtubers(clients)" should be done by clear TOS and platforms like Vgen.That way you should always get what you payed for.Demanding Live2D files basically gives you the right to edit or resell the model,which should come with a big fee, so you would just pay a lot more.

@WynterpuppyVT Are you talking about Live2D files? The only reason you would need them is to edit your model yourself or give it to another rigger, which should be against most riggers TOS. But I think some riggers would give those files for a fair 100-200% fee (including a right to sell/edit)
