The overnight transition from PGY-1 to PGY-2 is WILD. Running a whole team and being responsible for the new interns on 7/1 is no joke y'all. Recs for setting expectations without coming off as 'bossy'? #MedTwitter#NewPGY2#IMProud#NeedAVacayASAP
I realized I was an outlier in medicine because I am not competitive at all….I will share whatever resources, want you to score as high as possible, and not care if I do better than someone else. I want us all to make it.
stories of gunners are such a foreign concept to me.
Idk who needs to hear this today but standarized testing is an acquired skill that measures testing aptitude and wealth— not intelligence. You are more than your test scores.
This was followed by comfort measures only a few days later. She passed away within a couple hours of that change. I knew what was coming but it just didn't seem real while I pronounced her... 😭#medtwitter 2/2
I had been following this patient on floors and then I started ICU. Pt came to ICU after cardiac arrest, where I continued to care for her. With no living family members, legal guardian in charge, and worsening condition, her code status was changed to medical DNR/DNI. 1/2
New achievement unlocked: Getting a compliment from an ICU attending for your patient presentation. WHAT. This is the highlight of my intern year so far #medtwitter#someonepinchme#firstgenMD#tiredbuthappy
His Divine Holiness’ loss is profound. His tireless travel across the World, has inspired countless youths to live a life filled with Atmiyata, Samp, Suhradbhaav and Ekta. His spiritual legacy will remain ever present with us. @iHaridham#hariprasadswami

First gen students don’t graduate alone. While odds were stacked against us and others wanted to see us fail, there was a village behind us that stood up. They poured love and strength into us along the way. Congratulations to our 2021 grads and to those who stood beside! 🩺🎓
Students with low Step scores can still become great doctors. Never lose hope. You can make a huge difference in the lives of others no matter your scores.

Felt this in my bones as I tried to pick out my vacation days for the first year of residency 🥲 I'm all ears if you've got tips or want to get something from my #MedGradWishList to offset the stress
