There was a time when Downtown NYC was part of my everyday life—working in the city, walking past the 9/11 Memorial, and watching the Freedom Tower rise into the skyline.

Life looks very different today. The skyscrapers have been replaced by mountains, open skies, and 20 acres of farmland at Patel Ranch.
