We're excited about our friend @charismith's book, Nonprofit Program Evaluation Made Simple. Chari helped PHFS create our program evaluation design years ago, and they are still the same systems we use today. We were even featured in her book! https://t.co/IlCiyT2Tkn

The only way that we will ever stop the senseless killing and oppression of our Black community members is by recognizing systemic and institutional oppression, and fighting against it. 3/3 #BlackLivesMatter
The reason a white woman will call the police on a Black man birdwatching in the park is because our society has conditioned her to believe that Black bodies are dangerous and worthless. 2/3
We stand in support with those who held beautiful vigils to honor George Floydโs life and also protested his senseless death at the hands of law enforcement. We understand where this anger comes from - hundreds of years of injustice against and oppression of Black bodies. 1/3
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of measure 26-210! Thank you to everyone who campaigned, advocated, and voted for this critical measure. #WeAreHereTogether

We have the opportunity to provide individuals & families across the Portland Metro region w a safe place to call home for years to come. Be a hero & vote yes on 26-210! Weโre counting on you! Housing for the people! @HereTogetherOR
The last thing we need to do during this crisis is turn out more Oregonians struggling to make ends meet from their homes and onto the streets. I've placed a temporary moratorium on residential evictions โ this is both a moral and a public health imperative.
We will be cheering for PHFSโs shelter staff who continues to go to work every day and for our housing team who is finding ways to bring groceries, cleaning supplies, and emotional support to hundreds of families right now!! THANK YOU to everyone who is protecting our community!
Portland,
Set your alarms! Letโs cheer for our frontline heroes starting FRI at 7 pm & every night until #COVID19's deadly impact is history:
Nurses
DRs
1st Responders
Grocery store workers
Chefs
Delivery drivers
Open a window or step outside your home to say:
#PDXThanksYou
Just how effective will all those new handwashing stations be if Portland's homeless community can't access clean clothes and showers? Coronavirus related closures have left few options. https://t.co/5qlsw74tHf
We are still open and operating shelter for families with children! Considering making a much-needed donation of fruit, veggies, non-perishables (canned chili, soup, cereal), frozen party size entrees, infant formula, baby wipes, and more. Thank you! https://t.co/VHtpobfsK3
Today, under the emergency declaration I signed on March 11, I am enacting a temporary moratorium on residential evictions in Multnomah County. Nobody will be removed from their home because of this #COVID19 emergency.
PHFS could use your help so we can provide increased resources to families. Make a donation to help families get or keep housing, or to help buy supplies. To donate, visit https://t.co/lWsbiCEYvj and select "Increased Services during COVID-19." Thank you!
