Blair secured a summer placement with McTaggarts - an amazing achievement👏🏻He's been developing a wide range of hands-on skills, from joinery and painting to bricklaying and groundworks. A fantastic effort and a bright future ahead!

This week at FSFT our young people developed their decorating skills,working together to prep and paint. Great teamwork was on display with everyone supporting each other while building confidence and improving their techniques. Fantastic effort all round!

This week at BOSCH, our young people gained hands-on experience learning how to safely change engine oil. This session highlighted key health & safety practices in mechanics, helping build practical skills and workplace awareness for the future✅

Our hospitality students putting their skills into action this week! The group were busy preparing and serving freshly cooked jackets potatoes with a range of hot and cold fillings to paying customers, gaining real workd experiences and confidence along the way!

Week 15

Now that our childcare group have completed their 10 weeks learning, they are about to put this into practice. They are now starting an exciting 6 week placement in an Early Years establishment under a mentor. Best of luck girls, cant wait to see you grow!

This week our young people attend Routes to Work careers event, which gave them the understanding of all the great opportunities that are available for them! @routestowork

Our groups have now completed certified Emergency First Aid training - learning the Heimlich manoeuvre for chocking and other vital lifesaving skills, while building the confidence to act when it matters most.

This week the group's have completed certified World Host Customer service training, learning the skills required to work in customer facing roles, allowing our young people to positively engage with the public.

Our Pathways team and colleagues from Supported Enterprise and Routes to Work are attending Growth Mindset training with Winning Scotland to support the learners we work with break down barriers and achieve their potential.

Week 5🚓

This week, our young people spent time with our Campus Cops learning about the dangers of knife crime and extortion. They explored just how serious these offences can be and picked up valuable tips on how to stay safe in different situations.

Our young people attended @Bosch_STB_LAGTA they spent this week learning key mechanical skills, focusing on tyre checks and how to change them safety and correctly🚗🔧. They practiced using the tools, checking the pressure and spotting wear.

This week, our young people attended @FirstStepsFT. They developed practical construction skills as they learned the basics of bricklaying. They were shown how to build steady level structures and lay bricks accurately. The group showed great focus and worked hard👷🏻🧱

Last week our young people focused on food hygiene, safety and basic food preparation as part of their hospitality training. They learned how to work safely and confidently in the kitchen and then put their new skills into practice by baking brownies.🍫🧑🏻‍🍳
