@_atanas_ The way I see it, the goal of taking these supplements is not to prevent infection but rather to provide important resources for the immune system to do its job effectively. Since we do not routinely test for most nutrient levels we just don’t know who has suboptimal levels.

If a doctor wants to give it a try and feels that it is safe then it is in his/her purview to do so, but that doesn’t make it effective
