Shipman, Allitt, Chua, Geen, Letby .... the list is growing. Nurse Lucy Letby who murdered 7 babies (attempted further 7) sentenced today to life imprisonment. This highlights the significance of robust complaints and patient safety investigations, followed by swift actions.
@jidesanwoolu The avoidable death of Dr Diaso deserves accountability. I work in the health care sector in the UK and pledge a free service to support efforts to get to the bottom of this incident. The root cause and contributory factors must be identified and lessons learned. Kunle Thomas
@jidesanwoolu Thank you Your Excellency, Governor Jide Sanwoolu. An "investigation into the cause of mechanical failure" is too narrow and unlikely to address the decadent culture of "anyhowness", considering the elevator was known to be in a state of disrepair long before this sad incident.

Today I have been learning about a truly inspirational Bristol Nurse, Princess Campbell. Princess was one of Bristol's first black ward sisters, moving to Bristol from Jamaica in 1962.
Princess received an MBE in 2011 for services to the community in Bristol, for her tireless campaign in fighting prejudice & discrimination . This week we are celebrating #StayandThrive Week @stayandthrive an opportunity to recognise & celebrate our incredible @NorthBristolNHS Internationally Educated Nurses, to each of you, thank you!
Princess said โUse determination and your self-esteem: value yourself and let no one crush you...".
