THE HALLWAY MOST HOMES FORGET
Most people spend their budget on the living room and forget the hallway.
But this one gets it right.
Warm oak floors.
Soft cove lighting.
One sculptural tree.
And a straight line of sight to the garden from the front door.
A hallway is the first thing you walk through, but often the last thing people think about.
Design that sightline well, and the entire house can feel bigger, calmer, and more connected.
Sometimes luxury isn't about adding more.
It's about knowing what to leave in view.
Rather than clearing the site, The Mace Grove builds around its five existing nutmeg trees. A floating upper-level bedroom threads between two trunks, making the trees an integral part of the home’s architecture.

Planting a tree at your entrance costs almost nothing. Yet somehow, most new builds skip it entirely.
We've decided concrete poured wall to wall is what "clean" looks like now. Meanwhile the actual clean is a shaded entrance, real greenery, air that isn't trapped by heat radiating off bare concrete.
This isn't a cost problem. It's a laziness problem, and we're calling it modern.
That architectural style that makes you leave all the world's troubles at the door the moment you step inside... I’m leaving a little Mediterranean and Moroccan dream right here.
