There is risk everywhere. The point of life isn’t to avoid risk completely. It’s to lean in to it strategically to achieve your objectives when the odds are heavily in your favor. The more skilled you are, the better the results. You only get one life. Good luck!
AI is going to be inside everything. It’s going to pervade everything. It’s going to eat everything. It’s not going to be pretty. Doing nothing, complaining about it, calling it a bubble etc will not help. You must lean in and embrace it. Use it, invest in it, leverage it.
In the last two months:
1) $NBIS signed $17 billion deal $MSFT.
2) $GOOG signed $3.5 billion deal with $WULF.
3) $IREN signed $10 billion deal with $MSFT.
4) $AMZN signed $5.5 billion deal with $CIFR.
Why are hyperscalers renting capacity rather than building it?
They are trying to limit their risk if something goes wrong with AI or there happens to be significant excess capacity.
They are leaving the operational risk and balance sheet risk on others while limiting their own risk with what they have committed.
Despite being super bullish on AI, they still don’t know what the ROI will be and whether increasing the scale and capacity will solve all the problems.
