🔴 We have waited for this. And now it’s happening: a stark rebuke of the Islamic regime in Iran by one of the Arab world's most senior diplomats.

Iran’s ideology claims it defends Islamic causes. But the bare facts are now exposed: for 47 years Iran has used a proxy network funding and promoting Hezbollah, the Houthis, Hamas, and allied militias across Iraq, Syria, & Sudan all in the name of “a resistance movement defending Islam and the Palestinian cause”. It is a sham that many fell for.

Arabs countries finally calling bs on Iran is highly significant and the final nail in the coffin of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The BBC is letting itself be used as a propaganda outlet for Iran’s regime

Excellent piece by @DannyCohen former controller of BBC1.

“This is why Iranian dissidents have used the acid phrase “Ayatollah BBC”. It is not because they imagine a secret love affair between Broadcasting House and the clerics. It is because they recognise an outcome: the world’s most trusted broadcaster producing something that a theocratic, propaganda-driven regime could happily file under “normal life continues”.

And why is this offensive and appalling? Because even now #IranMassacre is trending as it is still happening.

One thing the situation in Iran has made crystal clear is that whichever country, regime, group or political ideology, no matter how vile, disgusting or repressive, however many people are massacred or exterminated, as long as they are anti-West, specifically anti-US (and by extension anti-Israel), they will have the unquestioning support of the majority of the liberal left and the entertainment world.

The same “progressive left” who happily live in the west, profit from its relative freedoms, yet turn their activism on and off like a switch, or in some cases, even make a living out of it.

It is disappointing and exhausting.

But grateful to all those who have spoken out. Especially in the comedy community. It takes a lot of guts to do so when everyone around you is looking the other way.

4 days ago The Times reported “Britain to ban Iran’s revolutionary guards”.

The UK have not proscribed the IRGC. The European Union has, as has Australia, Canada and the United States. Our Foreign Secretary even stressed that the we must act in concert with our allies in this regard.

Apparently the UK is discussing “the difference between a state based actor and a terrorist based actor.”

Hear it from Iranians:
The IRGC IS the Islamic regime.

Hitler gave orders, the Gestapo (his police force) and the SS (his paramilitary group) carried them out. Both acted for the Nazis and both were designated as criminal organisations at the Nuremberg tribunal.

Are we saying that the UK government will designate the IRGC a terrorist organisation only after an international tribunal? How many more have to be killed before we act?

As the UK drags its feet, the question must be asked: what are we hiding?
