Germany was forced to abandon 8,826 planned deportations in the first half of 2026 because authorities could no longer locate the people they were supposed to remove.

Those targeted included rejected asylum seekers, illegal migrants and foreign nationals convicted of crimes in Germany.

Only 9,663 people were deported in the first half of 2026, compared with 11,807 during the same period in 2025, a decline of around 18%. More than 230,000 people currently living in Germany have deportation orders.

Endurance Sabon is only 15, and a Christian, so when a Muslim man demanded her hand in marriage, her parents refused. To retaliate, he and eight accomplices attacked Endurance, and mutilated her by cutting off both of her hands with a machete.

Violence against Christian girls in Nigeria is shockingly common. Many are kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam before being married off to older men. Others, like Endurance, have been attacked and mutilated, most commonly with acid. One girl, 18 year old Binish Paul, was thrown from a second story roof by a Muslim man named Tabeer Abbas after she refused to convert to Islam and marry him, suffering catastrophic injuries to her spine and legs. Local law enforcement often protects the perpetrators of these crimes, and persecutes surviving victims.

Sebastian S. wollte gerade aufbrechen, als ein Mann aus dem Gebüsch brach und mit einer Machete auf seine Freunde einschlug. Er stellte sich ihm in den Weg - und überlebte nur knapp: zerborstene Rippen, ein Lungenlappen entfernt, kurz klinisch tot.

Einen Monat nach dem CSD-Anschlag erzählt das Land eine andere Geschichte. Die meisten reden über das Auto. Die Machetenopfer kommen kaum vor. Wie lief der Angriff im Tiergarten wirklich ab? Wissen die Opfer mehr? Und was fordert jemand, der dem Täter gegenüberstand? Erstmals sprechen Überlebende.
