Keeping this book in the collection should be a statement about how important it is to have material that confronts challenging issues.

@GSLIS_youth @wordpressdotcom It will help them anticipate such problems a teen will have and reading this book is a safe way of doing that. While this book is not for everyone the library has a responsibility to represent a wide range of views in the collection for it's community.

@GSLIS_youth @wordpressdotcom I didn't mean to sound dismissive when I said how simple the characters were design wise. I personally thought it was a good design choice because it helps the characters stand out, even more so when you have to develop them to show how deep they can be.
