@wondermagenta Played it in January and remember every dungeon more fondly than any of the divine beast trashheaps. Theres like one Totk ‘dungeon’ I liked (but it should’ve been longer)
@misan318 My issue with the champions is that their intrigue isn’t from their depth as characters (which is shallow)
but rather the mystique around the way it’s presented. Great for a first playthrough when you’re absorbed in everything, but it leaves nothing to look back on
I don’t think having more and more freedom makes the game better or more fun
I think being forced to engage allows you to make far more intricate and complex things
@misan318 every divine beast is hot trash like objectively and there was one dungeon in totk that I actively enjoyed while playing. All eight were far too short, and not ambitious enough to really present much challenge
@TheAziH breath of the wild hits this wall when your inventory expands enough to cook 2 stamina foods and climb any obstacle in front of you without issue
@misan318 as far as main puzzles go you also can’t rely on needing an item from a previous area or anything so everything is super self contained. Each area has its gimmick and there’s no real depth beyond that
The Ocarina of Time remake should be three games (child Link, Forest, Fire, & Water Temples, Spirit and Shadow Temple) and sold as $80 releases. Each title should require an Internet connection to play but have no online features besides an in-game store that sells Heart Pieces.
god forbid you be mildly disappointed with a nintendo direct or else you’ll be smothered with scott the woz clips and called a larper who only plays mario
@shellshookedtwt I worry that it’s gonna get open world overhauled to the point where it loses its identity
played OoT for the 1st time last year, Story and especially the Dungeons are so strong and if you remake them in Botw open style u might lose how much cool
shit you gotta engage with & see
