Kane Hodder, the actor who played Jason Voorhees in four Friday the 13th films, refused to film a scene where Jason was supposed to kick a dog.
He insisted that while Jason was ruthlessly evil, he wasn't evil enough to hurt animals.
(2/2) However it is commonly debated wether or not this mutilated dog in the first is muffin or not, given that muffin reappears at the end of the film. It’s left pretty ambiguous with the ending being debated whether it’s real or a hallucination.
