NEW: Just 12 hours after President Trump sent a direct warning to Iran, the U.S. launched a wave of heavy strikes against the regime, hitting dozens of military targets.

The strikes come following Trump's vow to "beat the f*ing s***" out of the Iranians after they launched a surprise missile attack against American forces in Jordan.
