🚨 EXCL: #AVFC are set to offer Ian Maatsen a new contract after #MUFC explored his potential availability before the deadline.

Ajax have held talks to sign Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey.

It’s understood #AFCAjax are exploring the conditions of a deal and they’re considering making an official offer for the Jamaica international.

Bailey, 29, has one year left on his contract at #AVFC.

Hull City were close to signing him earlier in the window, but talks between the clubs stalled.

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl insists they will not be able to reach an agreement with #AVFC for Joao Palhinha on the current terms.

Villa have been proposing a loan with an option to buy. Bayern only entertaining permanent offers.

“We had read that Aston Villa had contacted us regarding João, and that is correct,” Eberl said.

"But we will not be able to reach an agreement with Aston Villa.

"So there is an overall situation involving three parties who have to reach an agreement, and unfortunately, there is currently no agreement between all three parties.”
