@Snappybee55 @washboardabs72 Well shortly after sitting forever in the pits with no movement things started flowing. They must have got too excited and couldn't swing it right to make it through the gate, so they backed up and got stuck on the berm and held the line up for another eternity

JUSTIN ZOCH STEPS DOWN AS EDITOR OF DIRT EMPIRE MAGAZINE – ASHLEY ZIMMERMAN-WIGANS TAKES ON THE MANTLE

BRUNSWICK, GA – As they embark on their 30thissue, Dirt Empire Magazine has announced a change in their editorial position. Current editor, Justin Zoch, will be stepping down to pursue a new opportunity outside of the auto racing industry and current Senior Writer, Ashley Zimmerman-Wigans will be promoted to role of Editor.
Zoch has been with Dirt Empire Magazine from its inception in late 2020 and has been the editor up through his final issue – Issue 29 – September/October 2025. “Justin was an integral part of the Empire family had the magazine owes a deep debt of gratitude to him for his helping steer us in the right direction,” said publisher Adam Cornell.
“It has been a hard decision but its time for me to step away from my role at Dirt Empire and pursue other opportunities outside of the auto racing industry. Dirt Empire has been a fantastic project and is in a great place going forward with Adam’s leadership and creativity. Ashley will do a fantastic job as Editor. ” Zoch said. “Thanks to everyone who has supported Dirt Empire over the past five years.”
Starting with Issue 30 – November/December 2025, Ashley Zimmerman-Wigans will be taking on the mantle of Editor and will be the main contact for all editorial inquiries going forward. “We are confident that Ashley will bring the same energy to the editorial role as she has in her writing since the start of Dirt Empire Magazine,” said Cornell. “Ashley is dedicated to continuing the tradition that Justin began with great interviews and stories matched with the best photography in the industry. She has been one of the pillars of Dirt Empire Magazine from the beginning and will continue to be a bedrock foundation on which each issue can be built.”
“Justin's departure leaves big shoes to fill, and I am confident through his years of mentorship that he has prepared me to take this next step in my career. I have enjoyed getting to share the emotion and excitement of Dirt track racing through my writing and am excited to continue growing the Dirt Empire legacy in the role of editor. I look forward to getting to know more of our contributors and working with them to bring more of dirt track racing to race fans!” Zimmerman-Wigans said.
Dirt Empire Magazine is the only print publication dedicated solely to automotive circle dirt track racing on the market. It can be found in major retail locations across the country like select Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million and Tractor Supply Co stores as well as select racetrack affiliates and independent retailers.
