Just beating the buzzer before the Selection Show begins, here is my final NCAA Tournament Bracket projection of the season. Would love to make my usual graphic and present it better, but the timely information is more important than the presentation. Thanks for following along!
I've triple-checked this so I feel confident I did the math right.
Accuracy for the year:
68/68 teams in the field
54/68 teams seeded correctly
68/68 teams seeded within a one-seed margin
380 - Paymon score
My best year by 12 points using the Paymon scoring system!
🧵:
@jwBBN I just checked, and you indeed did get a 392. Did you try to join Bracket Matrix before the year started? Because if you did, I think you have the best score I've seen so far.
With all of that being said, thank you again to everyone who followed along throughout the season, and I will update everyone one more time in the next few days when I have my official placement within the Bracket Matrix!
Speaking more about the improvement, here is the three-year progression of my scores:
2023-24: 342
2024-25: 362
2025-26: 380
I would be happy if I got a few points better every year, but getting jumps this big is incredibly satisfying and makes me want to keep getting better.
Can’t believe we’re at this point in the season, but here’s my last projected NCAA Tournament Bracket update before I release my official, final seed list on Selection Sunday!
Heading into a busy weekend of action, I have updated my NCAA Tournament Bracket again! Stay tuned for the update on Monday that will include the first few confirmed tournament teams!

🗣️ "There are mismatches, and then there's whatever this game should be called. Maryland is bad to begin with, but its biggest weakness perfectly aligns with Wisconsin's biggest strength. The Badgers are always a scary team to rely on, as 3-point percentage can be an extremely volatile number from game to game. But when facing a defense as porous as the Terrapins', it feels like a good spot for Wisconsin to have a great shooting night. The over in this game is tempting, but Maryland can produce such poor offensive nights that I would rather just stick with the Badgers to dominate." - @PatrickWinograd
