1) While interest in the sport has grown exponentially, the USSF has not been able to replicate the numbers from the '98 & '02 cycles (average attendance remained 10k under '98 & '02)
2) Revenue increased but 750% in 20 years

@fiago7 As someone who went to the match, the price was a pain point.

despite flying on redeyes, splitting a cheap BNB, and sitting in the nosebleeds, it was a VERY expensive trip. 47k is a great turn out (I would say it was 80% US fans) but its all about $$$.

At least two people died from falling off of these shelves. The library was originally intended to be an opera house so while it was very dark-academia and beautiful, it wasn't very practical.
