On Saturday, 27th of June 2026, I was joined by the Executive Director of Projects, South East Development Commission (SEDC), Rt. Hon. Tony Okechukwu, to officially close the Batch 2 Enugu Anchor Greenhouse Cluster Train-the-Trainer Bootcamp.
After the ceremony, we toured key agricultural projects, including the Centre for Greenhouse and Post-Harvest Studies at Godfrey Okoye University, Ugwuomu-Nike, and the pilot extension of the Enugu Anchor Greenhouse Cluster Project.
The bootcamp equipped women, youths, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) with practical skills in climate-smart agriculture, poultry, aquaculture, and agribusiness, helping to build the skilled workforce needed to drive Enugu State's agricultural transformation.
I thank His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah,@PNMbah and our development partners, Manamuz, Masterskills Training Institute, and Agbani Farms, for their continued commitment to human capital development and climate-smart agriculture in Enugu State.

Yesterday, I joined the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia and representatives of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating agricultural development across Enugu State.
This partnership will the propel the state's agricultural transformation through the development of about 52,000 hectares of farmland across designated farm estates, significantly increasing food production. It will also unlock new investments, drive commercial agriculture, create jobs, enhance food security, and promote sustainable agricultural growth that delivers lasting benefits to communities across the state.
This collaboration aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda and represents another deliberate step by this administration to position Enugu as a leading destination for agricultural investment, boost food production, and drive sustainable economic growth.
Our tomorrow is here.
I am very excited to see EVOP Palm Oil, a product of Enugu United Palm Products Limited (EUPPL), taking its place at the Food & Beverage West Africa Exhibition in Lagos.
For years, EUPPL remained dormant. Today, it stands revived and producing again, reflecting Governor Peter Mbah's commitment to restoring strategic state assets, creating jobs, boosting food production, and opening new markets for Enugu-made products.
EVOP's presence at one of Africa's leading food and beverage exhibitions is proof that Enugu's economic transformation is not a promise; it is happening.
Our tomorrow is here.
Another productive visit to Enugu Tribu Songhai Farms Ltd to assess ongoing work and review implementation progress.
Encouraging strides have been made on site, with young people already actively engaged in productive activities even as construction and development continue.
Upon completion, the farm is envisioned as a hub for agricultural training, agribusiness incubation, agro-tourism, innovation, and employment generation, while strengthening food production, value addition, and market linkages across Enugu State and beyond.
Although there is still significant work ahead, it is inspiring to witness this bold vision steadily taking shape.
