MASON CITY, Iowa – Newly released police bodycam footage obtained by Iowa First Media shows just how selective Rob Sand’s so-called “public” town halls really are.
On August 5, 2026, at an event held at NIACC, Sand’s campaign staff worked with local police to remove Ryan Schupick, a Catholic conservative and 2023 Mason City school board candidate, after first trying to quietly scrub him from the RSVP list.
Bodycam video captures campaign staff confirming Schupick’s identity with a woman wearing a North Iowa Fights Back shirt, then approaching him with an officer, who already had a photo of Schupick pulled from the Cerro Gordo Republican Party’s Facebook page.
Staff bluntly told him, “We’ve made a decision to not allow you at this event,” and the officer later explained that these gatherings are actually private campaign events where the Sand team can decide who gets in.
This is not an isolated incident. Sand’s campaign has repeatedly barred or ejected Republicans and people tied to opposing campaigns from events it markets as open forums for all Iowans.
One earlier video showed staff blocking a woman who had worked for a Republican primary candidate, citing a policy against anyone linked to “opposition.”
While Sand spends his time on stage asking Republicans to raise their hands and applauding their presence, his team is busy screening out actual conservatives who might ask hard questions.
For a candidate who claims to rise above party labels and welcome every voter, the pattern of kicking Republicans out of his own events says far more about his real priorities than any staged town-hall applause.

Will Cain just dropped a NUCLEAR BOMB on Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent…
“You worked for GEORGE SOROS… What do we misunderstand about him?”
Bessent’s response will DESTROY everything you thought you knew:
“I only ran his INVESTMENT side… never the foundation. We barely talked politics.
We haven’t spoken since right after Trump won in 2016.”
Then the KILL SHOT:
“Election night 2016 was one of the THREE BEST money-making periods of my entire life.
I KNEW Trump was going to win.
The market CRASHED.
It was the greatest buying opportunity of all time.
And later I found out…
GEORGE SOROS was the one DUMPING EVERYTHING.
He was CRASHING THE MARKET on purpose.
He lost SEVERAL BILLION DOLLARS that night.”
The man who is now Trump’s Treasury Secretary
watched George Soros BURN BILLIONS betting against America…
And then made a fortune on the other side.
This is WILD.
This is HISTORY.

Go Go Go Mike.
Let’s go full scale World War III.
Cant wait for many more to die, get blown up, the body bags to show up at Dover.
Go back to Indiana and retire. You’re a loser and a uniparty thief. Your vice presidency was a complete disaster.
The course of American history has never been determined by Washington DC alone. It has been shaped in churches, town halls, school board meetings, and communities where ordinary citizens accepted an extraordinary responsibility to lead.
When Americans organize, stand their ground, and act with conviction, they create examples that can change the direction of the entire nation.
Thank you, @oliverbwell, for the thoughtful conversation and for being a perfect example of how local action can create national impact. Make sure to follow him and support the important work he is doing.
@IowaGOP
The War on Terror forced the United States military to reconsider how intelligence was collected, shared, and converted into battlefield action.
In this conversation with @oliverbwell , I discuss how intelligence professionals and special operators were brought together at Joint Special Operations Command, how we accelerated the operational cycle, and what those experiences taught me about leadership, teamwork, and mission.

MAMA: Make America Manufacture Again
A nation that cannot manufacture what it needs cannot remain strong, secure, or independent.
In 1979, nearly 19.6 million Americans worked in manufacturing. Today, that number has fallen to approximately 12.6 million. Behind that decline are shuttered factories, weakened communities, broken supply chains, and a dangerous dependence on foreign nations for products essential to our economy and national defense.
America must once again become a nation that builds. We must produce our own steel, machinery, medicine, technology, energy infrastructure, and defense equipment. Restoring American manufacturing is not about looking backward. It is about securing our future.
American strength must be built by American workers, in American communities, on American soil.

DOGE—the UNIPARTY killed it because it was working too well.
A very smart analysis of the overall situation in America. Approx 6 min interview.
Team America, this is what we’re up against.

Will someone from the WH (anyone of substance such as the @POTUS or @SusieWiles will do) confirm that U.S Senator Mitch McConnell is alive!
What will it take?

General Flynn SNAPS On U.S. Generals Meeting With China, DEMANDS Mark Milley 'PAY The Price', As CCP Sniper Allowed To Buy Building ACROSS From The White House
"I think that what Mark needs to do is, number one, he needs to do some soul-searching and he needs to come forward—I think that what Mark needs to do is, number one, he needs to do some soul-searching and he needs to come forward"
"They all know that that was total BS, what Milley did, and Milley should pay a price at some point."
Absolutely, we need accountability for treason @GenFlynn
Dan Bongino was too scared to help the J6ers.
Dan Bongino was too scared to discuss election fraud.
Now Dan Bongino is attacking @GenFlynn.
Bongino isn't a patriot. He's a parasite. And a fraud.
And that's why his podcast has dropped out of the top 100.
RIP.
If there are any questions as to the veracity of @PatrickByrne statements in this interview, I urge the Department of Justice to call him and others in for a deposition or in front of a grand jury to determine the truth. He has been very consistent for years.
There is serious undermining still occurring inside of the federal government despite how hard @realDonaldTrump has worked to uncover the coup.
Byrne is giving his “life” (the man is dealing with stage 4 lung cancer), his “fortune” (he spent north of $25M to discover and fight these battles), and his “sacred honor” (he has consistently and constantly put his reputation on the line!
A true and dedicated patriot who deserves our respect.
I'm looking for a few good American men who have proven up against tyranny to ensure the government fears the people and we retain our freedoms and liberties.
Breaking: IOWA FIRST!
Pardoned former National Security Advisor and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn told an Iowa audience he's worried about the state of the nation, making it all the more important that Iowans elect Republicans this November.
"You've got three congressional seats that are at risk, a governorship that could be at risk," Flynn told the Westside Conservative Club crowd on Wednesday, Aug. 19, in West Des Moines.
Flynn said he sees as akin to the quilts his mother used to make, with grassroots communities acting as the thread that stitches it together, their precision and care creating something durable yet beautiful and easy to love.
"You've got to think about our country like that; you hang it up, you throw it in a bag, the kids use it too often, and (a quilt) starts to fray," Flynn said. "In our country, the stitching is coming out. The edges are frayed, the center is thin because it's been overused. We haven't taken care of it."
To start stitching Iowa back together, Republicans must elect Zach Lahn for governor.
"The thing about Zach (Lahn) is that he's not beholden to anybody," Flynn said. "And that's a big deal in politics."
Flynn said Lahn's ideology will keep Iowa strong, but only if Republicans turn out on Nov. 3, and he said Lahn's first focus should be on bettering Iowa's public schools.
"So you're known for corn, great," Flynn said. "But what does Iowa want to be known for? For me, the best answer is the best education system in the nation. If I was a governor, I'd want to be the top. I'd want to be number one."
Kim Schmett, one of the speaker organizers at the Westside Conservative Club, received a phone call late Saturday night: Flynn was in town with time to spare in his schedule. Would the Westside Conservative Club like to have him come speak? Schmett said yes without a second thought.
"It's really important to have some national speakers in, and for Iowans to hear that," Schmett said. "We have the caucuses, it's a rare opportunity that we have that the rest of the country doesn't, and I think it's our obligation to come and hear different speakers. I think it's good for democracy."
Chatter abounded as those gathered placed their orders, sipped their coffee and waited for Flynn to arrive.
"I spent about 40 minutes, two, three different times trying to get through this guy's resume," Schmett joked. "Finally I gave up and I thought, 'they don't want to hear from me, anyway; they're here to hear from you, general.'"
Flynn stood up from a table in the middle of the crowded room and strode to the front to shake Schmett's hand.
"I like to speak to audiences as though I will never be invited back," he joked. "So you know what you'll get from me is what I absolutely believe."
Flynn's message was simple: Want to win the election in November? Keep your focus local.
"I keep harping on this 'local,' because I use this phrase, 'local action has a national impact,'" Flynn said.
As the event wound down, Flynn had a final request for the audience.
"If you do anything after listening to me today, you go back and read Psalm 23, okay? Because America is in that valley right now," Flynn said. "We have two choices: Don't get involved, you know, let the political people do whatever they're gonna do. The harder path is long and generally pretty dark. But there's a little tiny light at the end, and you know what that light is? That's freedom."
