Respectfully, I don't think it's fair to judge an individual simply because he is seen with presidents or government officials. @wicknellchivayo is a civilian and a businessman, not the president, the electoral commission, or a political party. Meeting or interacting with political leaders does not automatically mean someone is involved in election rigging or undermining democracy. Those are very serious allegations that require credible evidence, not assumptions based on association. People should be held accountable for what they personally do, not for who they are seen with. Let's separate opinions from proven facts and avoid making conclusions without evidence.
A number of people have sent me what is said to be an internal Public Service Commission memo. Civil servants have been asking whether it is genuine.
My response is simple: 31 July is a special day that every Zimbabwean should embrace with a sense of responsibility.
Zimbabwe wants to move beyond exporting raw minerals and build processing industries, but miners question whether they will benefit from the shift or be left behind.
