Every nation has had its atrocities. The persecution of minorities in the United States is a horrible scar in its history. These tragedies have been weaponized to continue to perpetuate contemporary divisiveness. Through programming in films and music etcetera. I'm not saying that it should be forgotten, but it's a sensitive subject that the country should address more appropriately.
