kinda miss social media in 2012 where the concept of an influencer didn’t exist and everyone was using instagram’s premade filters and posting pictures of random shit like a handful of skittles or an overexposed sunset those were the days
I don't labor under the delusion that my account is swaying the minds of anyone on the far left or the far right. I post the shit I do to 1) let other gays and lesbians know they're not alone in thinking the current LGBTQ+ horseshit is crazy and 2) to let those in the middle who were originally supportive of basic gay rights know there are LGBs fighting back against the current insanity. I couldn't give a shit less if one extreme considers me a traitor and the other extreme considers me a degenerate.
The young women of TikTok are waking up!
Gabby made this lovely video explaining how I radicalized her!
She’s a young butch lesbian and standing strong in her nonconformity. Go follow her @gxbbyx215 on TikTok.
i don’t know if everyone feels this way, but seeing trees being cut down hurts my soul deeply in a way i can’t explain. something about it feels insanely wrong
Ask yourself a simple question. Why is almost every celebrity on the same side?
Actors, singers, late-night hosts, award-show presenters. Thousands of people with different backgrounds, different lives, different temperaments. And somehow, on every major issue, they land on the exact same opinion, at the exact same moment, with the exact same hashtags. Free minds don't behave like that. An ecosystem does.
Now ask a second question. Elon Musk is landing rockets on their own tails. He's bringing internet to villages that never had a phone line. He's building cars that drive themselves and implants that let paralyzed people move a cursor with their thoughts. Artists are supposed to be the ones who dream about the future. Here is a man actually building it. How many of them stand next to him? A handful. Why?
Because Hollywood is not a free market of talent. It's a royal court.
A young actor doesn't make it because he's good. Hundreds are good. He makes it because someone lets him in: an agent, a casting director, a producer, a studio, an awards committee. Every step is a gate, and every gate has a keeper. When your whole career depends on a few rooms, you learn very quickly what can be said in those rooms and what can't.
This is how it works. First you stay silent. Then you nod. Then you repeat. Then you believe. Compromise never arrives all at once. It arrives one dinner, one role, one red carpet at a time. And once you've given up enough, you need the system to stay in place, because the system is the only thing that makes the sacrifice worth it.
Want to see the whole mechanism in a single story? For decades, one of the most powerful producers in Hollywood was the subject of accusations from dozens of women, and much of the industry treated it as an open secret. A host even joked about it at an Oscar nominations announcement, and the room laughed. Speaking up seriously meant losing everything. When the truth finally broke, the same industry dressed in black and applauded its own courage. Silence while it pays. Virtue once it's safe. That's the system.
And that's the real lie. Not that these people are monsters. Most aren't. The lie is calling it courage. Real courage costs you something. Saying what every room in town already applauds costs nothing. Saying the opposite is what costs. That's why so few artists stand with Elon. Not because they've studied his ideas and rejected them, but because standing there is a career risk they can't afford.
Look at what happened to him when he left the consensus. Advertisers fled. Friends disappeared. Invitations stopped. He could afford it. Almost nobody else can. That tells you exactly how free that world really is.
So wake up. Stop taking your political cues from people whose paycheck depends on agreeing. A celebrity endorsement is not an argument. It's a loyalty signal. Your vote, your convictions, your children's future: don't outsource them to people who are paid to recite lines someone else wrote.
The people who build the future rarely get applause from the people who perform it.
Think for yourself. It's the most American thing you can do.
Sorry, but I’ll never normalize people who get moody, rude, or suddenly cold toward others just because they’re upset. Your feelings are valid, but managing them is your responsibility. Everyone else shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells around you.
Florida Amendment 3 hasn’t even passed yet, and Florida cities are already canceling Christmas parades, Veterans events, and fireworks—because your tax relief is their spending nightmare!
🎄 Lady Lake: Christmas Parade cancelled — personnel costs ~$15k plus resource strain.
🇺🇸 Eustis: Standalone Salute to Veterans parade dropped and folded into another event over budget restrictions.
🎸 Ocoee: 30+ year Music Fest cancelled amid projections of $8M+ revenue hit if Amendment 3 passes
🎆 Altamonte Springs: Red Hot & Boom (major July 4 fireworks, ~$950k) retired; cited size, cost, and Amendment 3 risk
🎺 Miami Gardens: Jazz in the Gardens and numerous other cultural/community events heavily cut or eliminated.
🇺🇸 Fort Myers Beach: Municipal fireworks cancelled in austerity push after ~$1M budget shortfall
Shameful. While cities cry poverty and cancel Christmas parades, Veterans events, fireworks, and festivals, the real problem is the slush funds, salary increases, and wasteful spending that never seem to get cut. Taxpayer money should protect community traditions—not pad accounts and fund excess. They’re scared Amendment 3 will force real accountability. Vote YES on 3 and make them prioritize the people over the waste. @RonDeSantis@GovGoneWild
I'm South African. I also want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. To warn you.
I come from even further into the future.
South Africa used to be a first-world country. We had the best infrastructure and hospitals in the world, and we were developing our own nuclear capability.
Today, there is literally shit running in the streets; people in our capital, Johannesburg, haven't had running water for months and more than 40 000 rape cases are reported every year.
For most South Africans, there is no such thing as healthcare. You go and stand in a queue for days, then go home.
This is what happens when you hand your country to economically illiterate progressive fools with catchy slogans.
Don't do it.
My most divisive literary take is that publishing dumbed-down women's fiction after adults started reading "Twilight" giving us authors like Matt Haig, Jojo Moyes, and the new, treacly "Theo of Golden" and "The Correspondent." They package it as literature but it's really YA.
The percentage of teen girls self-identifying as "queer" has dropped by half in just 5 years - and researchers can't figure out why.
Let me save y'all some time and money.
This American used to be a liberal and was shocked by what she was told in college about Muslims
“I went to college where a social work professor asked our class, what are you doing on an everyday basis to combat racism and prejudice and bigotry? So I raised my hand as a really proud, liberal, naive young woman. I raised my hand so proud and I said, well, when I go to the airport, I always go out of my way to be really nice and smile at Middle Eastern men. because I assume that people have been really mean to them at the airport, so I always go out of my way to smile at them.
And she looked at me in front of the entire class and said, never do that again, because in their culture, smiling at a man means that you're a prostitute, so never do that again”
“I was stunned into silence. And I don't know who needs to hear this today, but sympathy toward an ideology that is openly hostile, brutally oppressive and objectifying to women is not empathy. It's actually what I would call Western privilege. You have the privilege of extending sympathy to men who buy into this radical ideology because you have never been a Middle Eastern woman subject to being under it. How you look at them will never change how they look at you”
For those that didn’t know this, it’s real. In Muslim culture a woman smiling at a man that is not her husband is considered haram (forbidden) and strongly prohibited
Muslims say a woman uncovering her face and smiling at a man can lead to evil, here’s the actual reasoning
“It is haraam for a woman to uncover her face or to smile at a non-mahram man, because of the evil to which that may lead.”
Our cultures are not equal. Islam is not compatible with Western Civilization
