It’s excellent. Very still & sparse, but passionate & strong willed.
The cast are fantastic, all solid, but understated and delicate.
The locations are simple, but very authentic.
The foley sound is particularly notable.
You can feel the chill of the British coast.

The awful dialogue, the pensive looks to the side/floor, the faux romance/notions of intimacy, tacky.

The worst sort of naff American Tv .

However, I was riveted & waiting for series two.

The casting was meticulous & detailed.

A warm, clever, funny @simonblackwell script.

Directed with the soft touches, nods, winks & as many knowingly funny bits as you’d like from Iannucci.
