@LJ_Thompson20 @RCNNRN Definitely! I started as an NQN in ED and it definitely took me a while to feel comfortable, particularly with the lack of routine as you never really know what’s coming in next. If you can get to grips with that bit then the rest should fall into place.

2) It's good for your finances. Not being on electoral roll can make it more difficult to be accepted for credit products like bank accounts or mortgages.
3) You can opt out of the 'Open Register' (which allows your info to be sold on) which will stop you getting junk mail marketing )

With so much public media constantly pushing “don’t call 999” and “ambulance services are busy” … I think it’s important to promote that the emergency services ARE there for you and when you SHOULD call for help 👍🏻 #999forEmergencies

@DonnchadhaD 100% agree with this. The logistics of it with trusts can be a bit of a challenge though. Always manage to get my students out with the ambulance service during their time with us in ED. It’s such an important part of the patient journey that brings the patient into us.
