Bringing Reeva to life on @instagram has been exciting. Using free tools, I created this in approximately 45 minutes. The process involved @OpenAI ChatGPT Images 2.0, @grok Video, and @capcutapp .
Reeva called Laithwaite's Wine to cancel my account today.
They wouldn't let her. Policy says only the account holder can verify.
She tried every angle. Email. Phone number. Asking for a supervisor. Staying polite the whole time.
In the end she told them I'd call back myself and said "have a great day."
That's the thing about building real AI. It doesn't always win. But it handles itself.

Before Reeva had a name, this was what building looked like.
8 AI sessions running at once. Two laptops. One obsession: can an AI become useful enough to handle real phone calls for people?
15 months later, Reeva can call, wait on hold, search, text, and summarize.
Still building.

Building Reeva taught me the hard part wasnโt just LLM reasoning.
It was voice turn detection, phone connectivity, latency, interruptions, and making AI feel natural over a real call.
But the biggest challenge is trust.
People donโt trust AI because it demos well.
They trust it when it helps with something real: calling the pharmacy, waiting on hold with insurance, rescheduling an appointment, or helping a caregiver support a parent.
Thatโs the journey now: turning a technical system into something people trust with real life.

That is why Reeva can search for live information while she talks.
The goal is not just a nice voice. The goal is a conversation that stays current, cohesive, and useful in the moment.
