@AngelaRayner demonstrates complete ignorance of the economic factors that drive the private rental market , the Renters Rights Act 2025 will drive up rents as landlords reduce supply . The Act has created uncertainty for good Tenants.

I’m puzzled. Labourites tell us that Angela Rayner was only trying to look after her child which they quite rightly say is understandable.
But when a farmer tries to look after his children, they say he’s a tax dodger.
@bbclaurak so it is the complexity of the uk tax system that ultimately did for @AngelaRayner , yet one more reason to abolish the punitive CGT tax regime that does so much to discourage aspiration and enterprise
Keir Starmer has appointed a high tax fanatic, Minouche Shafik, as his personal economic adviser.
Shafik is a collectivist academic who believes that “the idea that you are successful because you are smart & hardworking is pernicious & wrong."
She is a menace.

127% growth. That’s an incredible achievement.
Congratulations to @RachelReevesMP for growing Britain’s economic ‘black hole’ from £22bn to £50bn in just one year 👏🏻👏🏻
Is this what you meant by ‘growth’?
PS. The £22bn didn’t exist (says the OBR). But the £50bn certainly does now. Way to go Rach…
Now you should cry. We all are.
@RachelReevesMP talks about the ST100 stars in #sundaytimes and creation of 5300 jobs but how many did she destroy in her #ukbudget business tax rise ?
Early HMRC estimates for May 2025 indicate that the number of payrolled employees in the UK was 30.2 million, a 274k decline compared to May 2024 (0.9% decline) and 109k decline compared to last month (April 2025).
But Starmer/Reeves claim they’ve ‘fixed’ the economy, which they say is ‘improving’.
