Why HTK? Both UW and HTK offer similar but different targets of cellular preservation to ensure organ quality. HTK targets extra cellular spaces while UW targets both! HTK is a Crystalloid with much less K+ and no added adenosine for ATP synthesis.

Great wee example for our two students today on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes- physiological and biological understanding of the endocrine function of the pancreas gives us a greater respect for prevention of diabetes and other abnormalities of the pancreas.
