@simonsquibb I’ve taken a chapter from my memoir & turned it into a song, using music to explore childhood bereavement & family trauma in a way prose never could.
My dream is to record it in a studio & have it played on the radio, so that it can reach people who need to hear it most.
It’s refreshing to have a voice for policing in the House of Commons, one which not only understands the issues facing the front line, but can speak credibly to them having walked in their shoes.
It’s also encouraging to read paragraph 279 of the policing white paper, which shows the governments displeasure towards the failing @PFEW_HQ and adds weight to what the @The_NPA_UK have been saying for some time, that PFEW has failed its membership and can not be trusted to act lawfully in the statutory monopoly it occupies.
We have evidenced time and again that the @PFEW_HQ is incapable of reform and today’s Judicial Review concerning its unlawful actions in removing @mpfchairman and @Rich_Cooke1 is further proof that the Police Act 1996 needs to be amended to allow for plural representation.
Give police officers CHOICE. Allow them an alternative VOICE. And let them decide on the FUTURE of policing and its representation.

@suno Any chance you can respond to my message / emails regarding buying an annual membership and not being able to access it? Some users have been waiting at least one month for an email response. This isn’t good enough, when spending over £200+ for something we can’t use.
@philadlam Every club needs a Phil Adlam. Always been great while I’ve been following Posh.
You can’t please everyone. But as long as you keep pleasing the 99.9% of the fan base - that’s all that matters.
Here’s to a happy, healthy and grief-free 2026!
@matty30capp 9 times out of 10, I would go to an interview in a shirt and tie as a bare minimum. Full suit if possible. Shoes should be smart and polished.
Although, it sometimes depends on the role you’re applying for.
If there’s the option, ask them for feedback on your interview.
@UKLabour By doing this, you’re discouraging small businesses from taking on staff. It will also push food and energy prices even higher.
The result will be an increased cost of living and a rise in unemployment.
This is basic economics.
We need a new government…..and fast.
@Boro Welcome to @Boro, Kim! First order of business: learn what a parmo is, then pretend it’s not the only thing you’ll be eating for the next 12 months 😆
@matty30capp@Boro While today is challenging, tomorrow will be better. You aren’t cowardly. You are brave to talk. Something us fellas don’t do enough. You’ve made the first major step by talking.
Next step is to talk more and to know, things will get better.
DMs are open and happy to meet.
@Maz_Georgiou @Boro@grok can Middlesbrough still pursue Wolves for breaching Premier League rules in approaching Rob Edwards illegally? Despite having agreed a compensation package
