Prime Minister Andy Burnham just told the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg he’s ruling out an early general election.
“I’m going to rule it out… I don’t think people want it.”

He says the majority “voted for a manifesto” in 2024 which he will “honour.”

And that what he most needs to do is “get Britain focused on getting the country back.”
