There’s a little known CCP strategy designed to subvert America from within.

Many know the term “unrestricted warfare,” but it's based on a concept developed in the late 1980s by a high-ranking CCP official Wang Huning.

It's called “American against America”—here’s how it works.

The CCP systematically exploits American institutions—its markets, its courts, and its values—against America.

For instance:

America prides itself on its open markets. So Beijing dumps heavily subsidized goods at below-cost prices while stealing intellectual property on an industrial scale.

America celebrates freedom of speech. That same freedom gets abused by the CCP to shape public opinion, recruit influencers, and whitewash crimes against humanity.

America cherishes the rule of law. So Party-linked actors weaponize U.S. courts to sue, harass, and financially bankrupt its enemies through endless frivolous lawsuits.

One example is a CCP agent’s attempt to strip Shen Yun Performing Arts of its nonprofit status simply because the group exposes the CCP’s persecution of religious believers.

“This pattern is repeated all over the place,” says Tianliang Zhang, author and historian on China affairs.

“They are not following the rules.”

“So they are using your rules to take advantage of you.”

The CCP’s oppression of Shen Yun teaches us a valuable lesson: people are less free under communism.

I was honored to host @NTDNews at the Capitol last night for a viewing of UNBROKEN: The Untold Story of Shen Yun, followed by a Q&A panel about their new documentary.

The documentary details the efforts of the Chinese Communist Party to silence @ShenYun’s outspoken criticism of the political movement and how they treat people of faith. Religious freedom is an issue very near and dear to my heart, and I am grateful for these brave young men and women who are shedding light on the CCP’s religious persecution through their art.

Freedom Over Communism

The Olympics remind us that sports are never just about medals. They reflect the values we stand for. At a time when authoritarian regimes use money, influence, and propaganda to shape global perception, choosing freedom and standing on principle matters more than ever.

The Chinese Communist Party can buy endorsements, control narratives, and silence dissent, but it cannot manufacture freedom. No amount of propaganda can hide censorship, religious persecution, and forced labor. A system built on repression will never compete with the power of liberty and human dignity.

On May 28, 2021, I ran for my life through the streets of downtown Portland, Ore.

Antifa had discovered me working undercover after one of their members, John Hacker, exposed me to the mob.

I screamed for help as I fled, but drivers and pedestrians looked away. The businesses were all shuttered, remnants of the ongoing destruction from the 2020 BLM-Antifa riots. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

They caught me. Antifa tackled me to the ground, tearing my knee tendon in the process as I slid across the pavement. They punched me over and over and tried to choke me out. I barely managed to stumble into @theNinesHotel, begging the staff to call 911. Instead, they tried to force me back outside and told me to wear a Covid mask. I dropped to the floor, refusing to move, pleading for them to call the police. They refused.

Outside, Antifa gathered. One of their ringleaders, Elizabeth Richter — the blonde woman — began rallying the crowd. She called on others on a livestream to come finish me off. She went inside the hotel and threatened me. Antifa also tried breaking their way into the hotel.

I escaped only by jumping into an elevator with a hotel guest. After that, I was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a police guard. I was soaked in my blood. On social media, Antifa immediately began trying to track which hospital I was in, hoping to finish the job.

As soon as I was discharged, I had to flee Portland. I moved between safe houses in different states. Antifa’s hunt for me was far from over.

@PortlandPolice closed the case a few weeks afterward, saying they couldn’t identify anyone. Nobody was ever arrested, just like in 2019 when I was beaten to the point that my brain bled.
