If I own a bar and have a sign saying no drinks to minors due to the law, I am not going to take down the sign because minors are unhappy. It is the law.

A store owner does not get to choose whether to sell cigarettes or alcohol to a minor, it is the law. Apparently, here it was never really about applying the law.

That is the real reason why he is stopping, not because some bear or penguin in Alaska would recognize him or ask for an autograph
