@SceneSallard There's literally AI written stories on https://t.co/T95dvLw4OU right now that have Cuyahoga misspelled. It's a good thing they'll never need to use that word again, right?
@mellow_nie91 On the bright side, this shouldn't affect the MiLB. So at least there's that. But yeah, this lockout will make 1994 look great by comparison
@mellow_nie91@NFL Been saying that for years. They built Playoff systems where the best overall team generally doesn't win. They spend ungodly amounts of money, but only in specific regions. And once gambling was legalized, it was game over. Someone's making a lot of money. Just not us
Whoever keeps leaving unanimous players off their ballot needs to have their membership evaluated. How Ichiro missed 100% by 1 vote is confounding. #Cooperstown
@KSLEDZ1975 The game is in bad shape. This is going to drive an exodus of fans. Why bother watching when the Dodgers are just going to outspend the league & buy another Championship?
A painful loss for the game of baseball. And an even greater loss for the world. He never took himself seriously and always put the game above everything else. As a Cleveland fan, I'll smile warmly as I rewatch Major League for the millionth time. RIP Ueck & thanks for the laughs
An "ultimate grand slam" is when a player hits a bases-loaded, walk-off homer with his team trailing by three runs.
There are only 32 instances on record of a player hitting one, and here's every one we could find!
@MLB I was at the Hafner Grand Slam. I can't describe the energy in the stadium when that happened. We went from despair to euphoria in the span of 10 seconds. It was incredible
@BenAxelrod Completely agree. The worst franchise in Cleveland by far, and yet people still support them. 4 winning seasons in my lifetime. It's absurd anyone would buy a ticket, let alone season tickets
