@fedupfish@MartinSLewis Complete rubbish. When I had a house survey done for a heat pump (currently oil) the system they recommended had an oil burner back up anyway as the cost projection for the heat pump electricity use in low temps (when heat pump CoP is worse) was astronomical
@ClaireCoutinho@KemiBadenoch@VictoriaAtkins Very similar situation when the Ukraine war kicked off. I raised the issue the with my Conservative MP Angela Richardson and of course nothing was done even when you were all in power so thanks for the effort but would have been better to do when you were in power!
@KemiBadenoch I raised this issue with my consevative MP when the Ukraine war started and we had a very similar situation. Unfortunately nothing was done then either…
@RingGo_parking app not working and not able to pay for parking in @LBRUT . How can I ensure I don’t get a ticket - there are no other parking or payment options and have a medical appointment
@PaulKGB@GuildfordBC@Conservatives From just a Guildford resident, thanks Paul. Always been interested in the planning side of the council and have to say your view and knowledge has been fantastic and an asset to Guildford. Not always worked or made the difference it should, but thanks, and enjoy the rest!
@KarenLankester3@GuildfordHoward Well, planning approvals generally happened in the 8week timeframe and pre application advice was available, so more people were engaging in getting planning as the system worked. At the moment enforcement seems non existent and the planning process isn’t much better
@GuildfordHoward@guildforddragon Nice piece. Admire not getting involved in the mud slinging between the LDs & R4GV which is frankly an embarrassment for both sides. Good Luck!
@PaulKGB@GuildfordBC Need to get the pre app advice service up and running. The amount of times I’ve agreed applications at that phase that then fly through, without it full apps have to go in and then the officers are normally too busy to even discuss changes.. hence reject and re apply. More work!
@GuildfordHoward @ohohohfeIicity We’ll see I guess.. personally I don’t see this going through in any permutation. If I were running St Eds I would tell my planning director to adjust the proposal to addres the refusal points and resubmitting asap. This is a seriously profitable scheme even addressing the issues
@GuildfordHoward @ohohohfeIicity The problem is, calling in is above Cllrs. We’ll have a Tory MP plenty long enough enough to kick this into the long grass, not saying it’s right, but it’s the reality.
@GuildfordHoward @ohohohfeIicity Any advice ahead of seeing the actual reasons for refusal is certainly no slam dunk in my experience. But regardless of advice, there’s a clear desire to call this in and if that happens, the advice is pretty irrelevant unfortunately!
@GuildfordHoward @ohohohfeIicity I don’t think this would get through at appeal, I think the highways and bus station concerns will carry a lot of weight with the inspectorate. Also worth remembering that appeals can be called in as well…
@GuildfordHoward I think it’s more not wanting the planning committee alone to decide… which based on the last couple of years is probably a wise move… complete mess of a situation really.
