Another volatile year for shares comes to an end. My 3 share tips had very differing fortunes:
1 National Express -35%
2 Restaurant group +107% (bid received)
3 Google +58%
Even with horrifically undervalued Nex overall combined gain of +43%
Vs
Sp500 +24%
FTSE100 +7% (inc div)
As a new year starts I thought for some fun I’ll pick out 3 shares which I think will do well in 2023 and we’ll see at the end just how wrong I was!
I believe it may be another tough year for investors but my picks are
1. National Express
2. Restaurant Group
3. Google

Let me guess, US ends up returning to the highs pre tariffs in a quick fashion, meanwhile the dead UK only bounces back a few % tomorrow, and takes years to recover back to those levels. Always lagging.
TRUMP: U.S. WILL IMPOSE ADDITIONAL 50% TARIFFS ON CHINA EFFECTIVE APRIL 9TH IF CHINA DOES NOT WITHDRAW 34% INCREASE
TRUMP: ALL TALKS WITH CHINA CONCERNING REQUESTED MEETINGS WITH U.S. WILL BE TERMINATED
TRUMP: NEGOTIATIONS WITH OTHER COUNTRIES WILL BEGIN TAKING PLACE IMMEDIATELY
Is there anything more embarrassing than the people who tweet that they apparently went all cash last week? Grow up
I was fully invested so been stung like most, sold some more defensive cos which weren’t hit as bad and have gone dip buying, perhaps premature time will tell…
Exclusive: Ten Entertainment, one of Britain’s biggest tenpin bowling venue operators, will tomorrow become the latest London-listed company to recommend a private equity takeover when it discloses an offer worth about £300m from US-based Trive Capital. https://t.co/UjQS8ur5aO
Simply buying the S&P 500 instead of following Michael Burry’s stock market warnings would have made an investor money each time with an average 6-month annualized gain of 34%. Don't make changes in your portfolio based on a tweet.

@walshdominic Why would they sell concessions now when that’s the area which is booming the most? Makes total sense to discard the deadwood in their leisure sites instead
Market didn’t like it but not too concerned, nothing in there which scares me, will continue to add more on any further weakness. 200p share all day long
I’m in MOBICO formerly #nex the deepest I’ve ever been in a share - with an average of 103.
Let’s see what results tomorrow bring I think they should be good and demand a huge rerating of this share which to me looks like one of the cheapest on all uk markets
@BuyLowSellH1gh No real surprises imo - 200m op profit forecast on just 600m crazy. The fact people where saying it had survival issues laughable given 75m+ FCF in the first half alone
