@Carsobi compare that to team sports where you have a guaranteed salary from the club, you can have some bad performances, an injury here and there, whereas in tennis it all depends on how you perform every game.

In tennis you have to pay for everything yourself. If you are not ranked inside top 200, chances are you are struggling financially.
It all depends on your results on a daily basis really cause the tour is 11 months out of 12.
